About this factory
We thought we knew what efficiency was. We thought we knew how to make the perfect shirt. What we didn’t know was that when we would visit our factory in both Thailand and Laos, we would be confronted with our western arrogance. The Gold Mine factories are what we like to call a step into the future. Highly modern facilities with incredible efficiency and an ethical way of manufacturing.
How it started
The Gold Mine company started its first factory in the heart of Bangkok expanding it in 2008 with another production facility in Lao, about an hour drive of Vientiane. And what’s most interesting is that you will find both factories in a place you’d never expect. Their Bangkok factory lies in the centre of hectic Bangkok whilst their facility in Lao lies in the middle of nowhere.
The Gold Mine company has their own shuttle buses picking their staff members up from nearby villages and supplying them with extra care where needed. The facility is like walking into a tech-company, bright, white and spacious and this is the set up in both the working space as the staff areas. We have to say that we are now a bit biased but we can only say that we are really proud of these facilities.

Gold Mine is one of the leading companies when it comes to high quality and ethical production of shirts. Some of the biggest fashion brands in the world are amongst their customers. Their range of shirts goes from classic business to casual indigo and high tech functional. Every garment still contains handwork with an incredible eye for detail.
