The yarn is a very fine, two-ply yarn (2/48 Nm) blend, ninety percent cotton and ten percent silk, and that last ten percent is what you feel. Silk gives the knit its dressed-up hand; the cotton keeps it comfortable enough to wear all day. We knit it at 12 gauge on two ends to give the knit more body. Washable in the machine on a delicate cycle, which is not something you can usually say about a silk blend.
