The story
Ninety-seven percent cotton, three percent elastane: that ratio is the whole brief for a trouser you wear all week. The elastane is there so the knee gives when you crouch and the seat keeps its shape by the afternoon. The rest is cotton, so it breathes and takes a press like cotton should. It runs in two qualities on the same blend. One is cut slim and made up in Turkey; the other is cut straight, woven in Portugal and made up there as well.
